Renaissance Vihuela B by Alan Arthur Suits
USA
#M-29
A Spanish Renaissance vihuela of his own design by Alan Arthur Suits. Bracing based on sixteenth century lutes. String length is 58.2 cm.
Back of African ebony, flamed maple and Indonesian rosewood; sides of African ebony. Neck and peghead of Spanish cedar; fingerboard of Surinam snakewood, ebony and maple. Top of 25-year-old Engelman spruce; pearwood bridge and rosette.
This vihuela plays beautifully with a clear, somewhat lute-like tone, but with a bit more punch like a small guitar as one would expect. Good hard-shell case included.
length - 34 3/4"
width - 10 5/8"
depth - 2 7/8"
