Sadhu's Ektar
India
#M-27
A wonderful old ektar typically played by wandering sadhus who sing devotional songs (bhajans). Made of cane, lizard skin and a gourd it's fully playable. A small crack in the gourd where the cane is inserted does not affect it's playability. This is probably one of the most ancient surviving lute-type instruments.
